We have a very special event to close out this series of LA dinners. With help and hustle from a handful of people, the Ghetto Gourmet is bringing together a few great folks to present a green-themed dinner-and-a-movie night showing "Who Killed the Electric Car?" with live commentary from award-winning director Chris Paine. It's a documentary about electric cars, hybrids, hydrogen and the future of transportation.

In addition to this intimate screening with the director, we're inviting Kris Moller, Founder and CEO of ConservFuel in Brentwood, the first station in Los Angeles - only the second in California - to offer E85 ethanol, and it is the third to offer B99 biodiesel.

And, by a great stroke of luck and hospitality, we'll be dining, eco-friendly style, in one of Andrew Azira's Red Barn Prefab Homes in Mar Vista. How cool.

Most importantly, we'll be featuring LA-based Chef Amy Jurist preparing a yummy seasonal menu of locally sourced, organic ingredients.

beet and goat cheese salad with balsamic

butternut squash soup with garlic nutmeg cream

cajun honey salmon

assorted pastries from portos barkey

This is a very special event and a great opportunity to meet some local folks leading greener alternatives. Seating is limited.
